We are seeking a strategic senior sales professional driven to be a leading producer for a respected data brand within the digital marketing industry. This position will be responsible for selling new digital advertising solutions to agencies and advertisers while maintaining and growing the current customer list. The successful candidate will have the ability to initiate and develop strategic relationships, build and manage a sales pipeline, and maximize revenue. This position will report to the COO & Co-Founder.
• Develop a strong new business pipeline through existing agency contacts, cold calls, cultivation of new leads, and reactivation of idle accounts among digital agencies and advertisers
• Develop relationships with agency and holding company contacts across analytics, operational, and client teams
• Cultivate a top-level sales funnel capable of delivering team- and corporate-level revenue goals
• Use acquired knowledge of programmatic and TV advertising techniques to identify and sell-through compelling data-driven audience targeting solutions
• Grow existing digital and new TV agencies into strategic reoccurring revenue streams
• Understand campaign goals and tactics to provide audience recommendations to clients/prospects
• Educate clients on trends in audience targeting and optimization to support innovative digital audience targeting strategies
• Develop account strategies to drive long term revenue growth, develop requests for proposal responses and programs, and drive subscription licensing deals
• Provide feedback to the VP, Digital Agency and Platform Partnerships on tactical and strategic initiatives to optimize sales plan
• Work with the marketing team to improve Alliant’s digital sponsorship, conference and event execution
• Maintain Salesforce CRM on a daily basis to record sales activity, track pipeline opportunities and forecast revenue
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or business field preferred
• 7+ years of experience in selling to Digital or TV Agencies or 5+ years of Digital Agency Sales experience AND 2+ years at a Tier 1 Digital Agency as a media buy, strategist or Director
• Deep understanding of Programmatic, CTV or addressable TV media buying experience a must
• Must be highly resourceful in qualifying prospects and possess a working knowledge of digital marketing and audience targeting; experience with data modeling a plus
• Outstanding persuasive communication, writing and presentation skills, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience and relevant contacts within digital marketing organizations, platforms, or similar organizations a plus
• Ability to develop and deliver client-ready presentations
• Must have an analytic mind-set, with a passion for detail and data-driven marketing
• Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
• Position requires external client interaction, must have ability to accommodate travel to client sites and industry events
• Must be flexible, detailed, team-oriented and committed to having a good time while doing a great job.
